Distinctive forms, drawn with an architect's eye
Every Asandi piece starts with proportion and the space it will live in. We remove what is only decoration and keep what makes a piece better to use, to touch and to look at.
The Forma Bench is a single plane of teak and hand-woven cane, low and precise, made to sit at a dining table, a bed end or an entrance.

Every stage happens under one roof in our workshop, so we can answer for every joint and every finish.
Stage 1
Material
Plantation teak, walnut and ash, kiln-dried to 10–12% moisture. Natural stone, solid brass, full-grain leather.
Stage 2
Making
Frames cut and assembled with mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints. No particle board, no staples in structure.
Stage 3
Craft
Six-way cane woven by hand, brass inlay set by metalworkers, leather and fabric upholstery tailored in-house.
Stage 4
Finish
Hand-sanded through five grits, then natural oil, hand-rubbed wax or low-VOC satin PU.
Stage 5
Details
Solid-brass hardware, felted feet, concealed levellers and a signed maker's plate on every piece.
